We’re really excited to say… the Dance Teacher Directory map is working!
More and more enquiries are coming in for dance parties, classes and workshops, and we’re now able to pass those enquiries directly to qualified and experienced dance teachers listed on the DTD map.
And the best part?
Teachers are booking work directly with customers and keeping the full fee for their sessions.
For example, many of the birthday party enquiries we receive are for two-hour dance parties with budgets of around £215. Instead of Popdance managing the booking, we now simply connect the customer with the nearest suitable dance teacher on the DTD map, so they can arrange everything directly.
This new way of working benefits everyone.
Customers love it because they can:
• Speak directly with the teacher who will run the party or session
• Ask questions and personalise their booking
• Build a relationship with a local dance professional
Teachers love it because they can:
• Receive enquiries directly
• Set their own approach to delivering the session
• Keep the full booking fee
• Build their own local reputation and customer base
When a dance enquiry comes in, we first check the Dance Teacher Directory map to see who the nearest suitable teacher is.
If there’s a teacher in the area, we simply connect the customer directly with them so they can arrange the booking.
If we don’t currently have a teacher listed in that location, we will:
• Post the opportunity in various dance teacher Facebook groups
• Share it in our private Dance Teacher Directory WhatsApp group
This means teachers on the map often get first access to opportunities, but we’ll also try to find someone willing to travel if needed.
The more teachers we have on the map, the easier it is for us to confidently connect customers with the right person quickly and professionally.
Being listed also means:
• Other dance companies can find and contact you
• Customers themselves can search the map and book with you directly
• You become part of a supportive global dance teacher community
Membership starts from just £5 per month, making it one of the most affordable ways to increase your visibility and receive potential bookings.
And the best part?
You don’t have to be in the UK — dance teachers anywhere in the world can join the map.
If you want to make it easier for customers, companies and organisations to find you, trust you and book with you, then make sure you’re on the map.
